anyway i got some inspiration after reading a blog before and i thought about making masks and hoods for soldiers. human soldiers... Super Soldiers...

anywho, i came to the conclusion of ninja style space marines and thought: wow sphynx, you've thought of a unique, credible idea and thus have value to society!

Until i realised the Dark Angels had got there first. So to cut the crap, heres some pics i made in concept. The background will be like a dark angels succesionist chapter/ Dark angels company on route to a battle, maybe back up for Johnson as he fought along side Russ across the galaxy or something like that. so the usual blah de blah happens, blown of course by a warpstorm and land on a Arctic planet so here goes


like the idea of them being blind, maybe like a massive solar flare hit the planet and scorched them out, so now they're guided by the astronomicon, but the same flare damaged much of thier equipment so im trying to get as many as possible without helmets.

Tell me your thoughts. (just to make sure , i know nothing at all about any sort of space marines let alone distinct chapters , its mainly like info iv peice together today.)

well im goin to have a lot of glowing blue things like i normally do. But it will alos include alot of gems and stuff because iv been thinking like they've found a eldar energy source in the gems. They might be on a crone world, or maybe a untouched moon of a crone world and chapter relics are on the main planet and, well theres a lot of ideas runnin around give me a few days

dont know if you would like this, but go for the vanguard vet. box, 2 with chainsword and plasma pistol, 2 with power sword and bolt pistol, 1 with 2 handed relic blade.

would fit the theme, and heads can be swapped for blind ones easily.

good thing about gems is that they are very easy to make, and smaller ones can be made from blobs of plastic glue

the vanguard being a fast attack means you wont use up nice elite spots, they look great, and i now collect ork, so i need to forget about em

probably like a rusted white but with ice blue gems, like maybe they replaced thier amour with white scars equipment from the ship that was traveling with thiers but didnt survive the crash, so now they have camouflage? dunno ill make the background tommorow. anyway goin to bed thanks for al lthe help JD

Right heres a bit of rushed concept. obviously i couldent get my ideal colours so i just grayscaled an ultramarine. lota cool effects on photodraw still to be discovered though ^^

if your going for an arctic look i would say the DA and SW boxes should provide the best parts.

hmm i was very much thinking of space wolves, but i dont want them to be feral, just... forgotten. Oh btw whats the best box set that contains alot of un helmeted human heads? dosent matter if its fantasy either

depends on the look, i hink some of the marauder heads would work, most SW, might get away with catatchen with some work, i think a tac squad only has 3 or so.

yeh i always like the idea of eltharion from the HE range so there will be a lot of melee weapons epecially glowing blue energy things :þ

snow angels would be a nice name.
human heads abound in the flagellant box, i think there are two heads for every body or something like that and some of them are even blindfolded. empire free company has a lot of bareheads and, well, the catachans. tho i would recommend them more for world eaters, since they look somewhat undersupplied in the brain department.^^

if you don't have any flagellants and just want the heads, drop me a line. i should still have about 60 of them from my current project.
also the old chaos mutation sprue has a nice blind head that you could look at.

Chapter Names! Help Me!

the problem with the aquila names is that the birdy isn't a unique icon, yknow? everyone has them.
and putting "guard" into a chapter name is confusing. might help, tho.

from the theme names, i like wind walkers best. the order thing is too unwieldy. how will you call the guys? "charge, polies!" "charge, bladers!" "charge, members of the order of the pol-" *BOOM*
