Hello!
*Moved to P&M Blogs from P&M -Thanks Mods*
I went to GDUK, gave up and bought a valkyrie. (Gave up - Read:queued 20minutes and spent £85)
Anyway, I've always wanted to do a black hawk down style force, I don't get to game much so whats in it FO Chart wise doesn't really matter. So my troops are going to be desert camo with black armour and the Valk are obviously going to be the Black Hawks. Thing is black isn't much of a colour for 85 quid worth of model and id like to achieve the same effect that's on the FW site here Any ideas for doing this? I'm not the best painter in the world but i'll try my best.
Seeing as this is M&P, Pics of the interior, C&C welcome! They're WIP's by the way!
Cheers.

I also bought one at games day. I'm gonna go for the grey colour , like the inquizition one but with a yellow stripe. I'm sure I've seen US navy tomcats painted similar , so I am going to see if I can find some spray paint in a model shop that will match up wit the grey , then give it a dip in the old magic wash , to fill in the gaps between the plates. Some highlighting , and edging and voila! Jobs a good un.

I'd check put the Tamiya paint ranges; they have a fair few military greys alone. I have them looking at me now, in fact.
There is a chain of stores in the UK called Model Zone which is a good bet. I got mine from the store in central London, but I hear there's a fair few around.

Hi
Thanks for the comments, thought i'd post an update, I'd wanted to be well on with the painting of this now but the build has taken ages, bit of a poor cast in my opinion, one of the sides was totally out of proprtion with the other.
And finally undercoated in black then a mix of shadow grey and catachan green
I'll post more as I paint. C&C welcome!
Cheers.

They're part of the cast from the Forgeworld kit ^_^.

Great job salvaging a miscast. I'd probably have put the thing on the shelf and never looked at it again, or scrapped it into terrain >.>....
Looking forward to seeing it completed! Always nice to see FW stuff all prim and proppa!

Hello, thanks for the comments.
Thought I'd post some updates. Ive been working on the wings and the engines so the front looks a totally different colour because it is. I'm not too pleased with it to be honest but I thought i'd post up for some C&C, comments welcome.

the camo is a bit subtle on screen but i would guess looks ace in real life. love the wing strips and the smoke stain behind the engines.
on my valk the canopies are hopelessly miss-cast & as it took FW 2 efforts to send me the right replacement tail piece (& that is still a bit sqiffy), i gave up trying to get replacements. Have you had a similar issue & if so what's your plan to correct it?

Bubber: The whole thing was pretty horrendously cast to be honest. If you look at the first pics where my stubby thumb is holding the things together, that was pretty much how far off the cast was out. Ive used a dremmel, green stuff and card. I've noticed the canopys are out, I found if I pushed them down onto the cockpit they stretch out and fit, but I was planning on putting clear plastic on for the windows and this won't bend like the resin does. I'll tackle this last, get annoyed, bite them and phone up forgeworld.
