Hi! The assault on black reach set is a great way to start playing if you want to play space marines or orks.

Howdy. Can you give us an inventory of the Space Marines you inherited and maybe someone can give you pointers on how to expand your army.

Also, if you have no interest in playing Fantasy, stop by the swap shop and trade them for 40K figures.

that sounds like a good idea. i dont really have any desire to keep around the high elves or the lizardmen

welcome to the addicting world of crack.... i mean wargaming

space marines are a great starting force for 40k. they are forgiving in tacticts in the sence that if you do somehting wrong, it will hurt a bit. but it might not be the game turner. they are even getting a new dex soon (if you play marines get used to that).

on a side note

if you have no desire to hang on to the wood elves then i have some extra 40k tau, space marines, and orks that i have no desire to hang on to

The Blackreach Boxed Set gives you rules, dice, and templates for 40K. Alternatively, you may choose to buy the rulebook separately (see my sig!)

Blackreach has a nice selection of Space Marines and Orks available for the new player. If you don't want the models, probably not worth it. If you want just half the models, you can probably trade off the rest of the models - for example, you could keep the Space Marines and trade the Orks.

Next, you will need someone to play with. If you have more than one army already, this will be easy!
