I'm bringing new definition to WIP... This is going to have to wait until morning. If anyone has any tips on how to make this work, please advise. Thanks, and sorry!

you should just need the [i.mg][/.img] tags, without the '.' and put the url in it for the pics.

I'm still working on re-sizing the pics, I'm just not getting something
The shoulder pads are the Empire Mortar with the rounded "bottom" cut off and the inside "support spacer" carved out.

Honestly, he looks the best with the Chaos Warrior head shaved down.
It gives the armor an archaic look that one would expect from a higher up in the Dark Angels.

I think he'd looks best with the Champion helmet (last picture) if its sides were shaved down. Then he'd have that Mk.IV Dreadnought look going on.

I've actually done this with several other Deathwing but Belial is the only one with the shoulder pads. It's having used this idea on "troops" that concerns me.

The downside of this, is you don't get to see the mouthguard, which is really what makes that helmet stand out.
I also shaved down a terminator head to look similar, but I'm not sure if I like it. As far as an unhelmeted head goes, if I used one, chances are that I would sculpt long straight hair on it. I just wish I had more faith in my sculpting abilities. Also, there's some fluff that says Belial was injured, and I was wondering if anyone had any info as to what type of injury this was.
I also need some ideas on a sword to use for him. I was kind of hoping for something two-handed. Aside from that it's a matter of selecting a gun arm and painting him up!

Hey guys,
Now that my pics are fixed, I'm still looking for suggestions on gun arms, heads and a nice sword befitting a Master of the Deathwing... Also any info on Belial's injury suffered against an ork warboss?

His brother marines dragged him away from the fight, wounded unto death by Ghaz himself. Any battle damage would be.... horrific. An augmetic arm, or a broken sword would be cool, as well as deep gashes in his armor or the Iron Hands augmetic leg?

They should write it into the fluff that Belial also sports a Ghaz-Klaw a la Yarrick.
I can see ol' Ghaz sittin' there thinking, "I lose more klaws that way..."

I really like that; well done.
I'd say don't go with the Chaos helmet, just isn't right for DA.
Probably the bare head, but the marine helmet looks good as well.

I could possibly attempt sculpting the hood, but I'm not sure if I like the look. I've put a hooded head on my Apothecary, but I'm still not sold on the look :S
Depending on what info I can dig up on Belial's injury, I may need a bionic eye or something...
(We need an Orkmoticon w/bionic eye)

Did some more work. Added wings next to his helm, smoothed out his left leg, and found a suitable (for now) Sword of Silence:
Also patched the gap between the fur and his armor:
And here he is with a couple of escorts:

I love the wings to the sides of his head. They're just plain nice. The overall dynamics of the pose and arm/sword is cool as well. I can't get behind the head however. Either of the other two you posted would be better, and have you tied him with a normal termie head?

The parts list so far:
Legs, Torso, Left Arm, Cape, and Chains are all from the Chaos Terminator Lord kit (File off chaos insignia)
Shoulder Pads-Empire Mortar barrell (Rounded bottom is cut off and filed flat, inside "bracers" were cut out)
Wings next to head, Sword mantle, and Chest Piece were all from the DA Veteran Sprue
Sword and hand were from the Space Marine Veteran sprue (though you could use Terminator arm and Sword from the DA Sprue as well)
I honestly don't recall where I picked up the neck guard from, I think it might be a shaved down Ork Shoulder Pad, but any rounded piece of plastic will suffice.
As long as you're comfortable filing off insignia and clipping pieces, this is a pretty simple conversion. I'm really surprised you don't see more Chaos Term Kits out there. There's also a nice set of DA Term. Legs on the DA sprue, you could also use. The only trick now, is finding a suitable Right Arm and Storm Bolter. I can't seem to find a position I like yet, and I'm getting anxious to get some paint ont his guy...
I'm just glad it's not another Lysander

Yeah, the wings are great. I saw them on the sprue, and just HAD to use them!
The normal termie head won't work now, as I built up a neck guard.
I've used some Fantasy Chaos Warrior heads on some of the other Terminators in the army to good effect. I thought about going helmetless, but all the marine heads look the same... Adding long, straight hair was an option, but with the neck guard, I'm not sure where the hair would go,
@BDA-Thanks! I plan to!

Just to put some extra perspective on this guy, I'm looking at doing a primarily black color scheme on him. Hopefully I can pull off some sort of marble effect on the sword (may make the storm bolter casing match as well). The Deathwing symbol will probably be white on both shoulder pads. I was almost thinking of doing a leopard scheme on the fur part of his cloak, but where it's such a small area, I may just do a golden yellow. The cape may end up DA Green, Red, or Deathwing "bone." The Deathwing symbol will be repeated in red (or black if it's a red cape).
