"Tigurius has recently turned his talents to divining the threat of the Tyranids. His predictions about their movements have been so accurate that it would appear he has tapped into the Tyranid Hive Mind- a feat that has driven lesser individuals quite mad. If this is true then Tigurius will have proved himself the most powerful psyker in the Imperium."
Thats a mighty bold statement there. Especially considering that the Emperor himself is a psyker. All they had to do was claim that Tigurius was the most powerful 'living' psyker in the Imperium and possibly the powers that be would overlook this little slip of the tongue.
As of right now, the Ultramarines are declared Excommunicate Traitoris! Deploy the Fleet so that nothing gets off the system. Commissar Veers, prepare your men!

This monster you call the Emperor is actually a C'tan. He is in charge of fattening up the Orks on Human meat so that the Necrons can devour them buffet style. Don't bother fighting, just stuff your pockets for chili pepers and grilled onions and accept the inevitable.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Earlier on the same page it states :
" (Tigurius rewards those who persevere in their interrogations with insight that borders on prescience,) spawned by uncanny hunches and honed through a lifetime's accumulation of knowledge. Little is hidden from the Chief Librarian's sight, and many amongst the Ultramarines believe him to be guided by the Emperor's hand."
The entry goes on to say :
"Tigurius' gift would perhaps be treated with suspicion and perceived as the stigmata of unholy associations, yet none who have witnessed the Chief Librarian in battle can find cause to doubt his allegiance."
In short, his experience and knowledge, combined with his talents and a rumoured psychic boost from the Emperor, go a considerable way to explaining the passage quoted by Deadshane. The second segment I have quoted, concerning his allegiance, would imply that members of the Inquisition have seen him in combat, highly likely considering the Ultramarines frequent engagements against the bugs, and consider his loyalties to be a closed concern.

That's probably just an elaborate cover-up for his secret pact with the Tyrannids. They will sacrifice any number of creatures to preserve their ultimate super spy.

Who said Tigurius is superior to the Emperor ? I've yet to see such an entry among the quotes in a codex.
Aloof ? Yes, as are most librarians. Seperate from the rank and file ? Certainly. Hard ass with the questioning ? Definately, he believes a warrior should know their own mind before they can fathom the enemy. Superiority complex ? no evidence as yet to suggest his own perspective on his place in the universe other than that of a Marine in the SERVICE OF Chapter , Primarch and Emperor .

I'm pretty sure that Tigurius didn't write that passage in the army list.
But he did! Mat Ward is Tigurius and JJ is Tzeentch.

Well, most of our REPUTATION is propaganda. We're actually a 3rd founding chapter, and Macragge is a dust-choked wasteland instead of the utopian paradise extolled in the official history books, and Marneus Calgar never leaves the fortress monastery since he became a quadruple amputee, but yeah, we exist.
