This probably will sound stupid to veteran necromunda players but I don't understand how armour works. Well, I know what it does having read the rulebook all the way through But I don't see how gangers get it. Can you buy it when you start your gang? If so what does it cost? If not how do you get it elsewhere? Any answers much appreciated

It only comes up if you roll it on the rare chart between battles.

Your best "armor" will be to pray that you can get T4 on one of your upgrades. It's much
more likely to have a gang filled with T4 than it is to have a gang with armor.

Pray for T4. Armour means almost nothing in Necromunda, since pretty much every weapon(especially by the time you find any armour) has at least -1 to armour, if not more.

okay, well if armour is not very useful then when playing with a group that doesn't mind could I buy armour to start off, and if so how many creds would it cost?

Flak, Carapace, or Mesh armor.

You can buy it, but it isn't worth it.

Buy more juves. put them in front of your gangers, they serve the same purpose.

The ones that survive then pay for themselves.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Check the equipment lists, they're fairly expensive and you'll be wishing you still had those creds when a ganger dies or you roll up finding that weapon you've been eying the entire campaign, especially when the heavies go after your armored guy every game and deny him that expensive suit of Does Nothing. DON'T WASTE YOUR CREDS ON IT.

If it isn't a campain and your oppenant agress you can. Going back to armour i still use it for my gang leader and heavies, although i have to agree T4 is alot easier to get.

Right, another question (I changed the thread subject so that this wasn't off topic)

Does anybody know where to find the rules for outlaws in necromunda. I think it was in an article called dead or alive but I can't find it in any of the usual places.
