Started collecting Dark Angel's boxes a while ago. Generally I have a Space Marine army that I am working on and when done sell on eBay. This go around it was dark angels since I have not had one since I was a wee kid-o, and really it was a contingent and not an army. Figured it would be fun. Anywho, started with some bikes. The only pne I took pics of so far is the Attack Bike. Here it is:

Next is the Venerable Dread. They had some rules on the Forgeworld site for a Chaplain dread, it was not perticularly awesoem rules wise, but Iliked the model so I made one that was more Gothic Architecturaly oriented. The body if almost done, but the arms and rear are still lacking a lil so I'll get pics of those later.

Nice "action"-pose on the attack bike.
The ven dread is looking good as well, but Im not a fan of those massive eagle things. The carapace however is looking great.

Love the dread, the skull on it looks amazing. Only problem I'm having with are those eagles that are sticking out, there are a tad on the large size, perhaps you could shorten them a bit?

Here are some nearly completed pics of the Chaplain Dread. The only thing left is to put some rivits along the wings of the buttresses and maybe some piping into the skull head thingy. Thanks for the coments on this guy. After these pics let me know if you still do not like the length of the eagle/ravens.

Here is my HQ for the time being, a Chaplain on bike. Took forever to get come acceptable pics of this guy. One of these days my camera and I are gunna break into some Fisti Cuffs and see who is the top dog!

Here are some pics of some of the bikes.

I really like the bike with the bolt pistol, that looks great.

The dread is looking pretty good as well,
but I would agree that the eagle are a little out of place, but will look better when painted

Dreadnought: Those Eagles still look long, but I think it's a "necessary evil." If you cut them too short you'll only have two "feathers" (I guess that's what they should be called) and that won't look as good as the three it currently has. Sword and scabbard on the back is a nice touch!

Bikers: Great poses, but I hope you drill out your gun barrels (and I know you know how as I noticed you did it to your dread's storm bolter!).

Great work overall, I can't wait to see them with some paint!

your doing the opposite to everyone else, now DA players are starting marines ditching DA, your doing otherway round.

That is my hope that when paint is applied the dread will look proper.

Yeah xav, I kinda started this project right before the marine codex came out and am kicking myself for starting a DA army. Though when ya think about it with the new rules the Raven Wing is one of the nastiest armies out there as they can take a realativly inexpensive bike unit as a troop to rob objectives on the last turn with toughness 5 and a 3+ inv save. Mmmmm, yum!

What piece did you use for the Venerable Dreadnought's head?

That was the Champ's head from the Chaos Warrior's regiment. Basicly a $35 bit since I doub't I'll be using the rest of the warriors. Meh!
