The only answer I have is that the Ultramarines have been subverted by chaos and in 6th edition we'll see all their new superpowers are just foreshadowing.

I mean what else makes sense?

Its like a guardsman being tougher then a space marine.

I like it. It's characterful and not really that big a deal. T6 and W2, doesn't make you superhuman. And anyway, he is a special character after all.

Typhus is Nurgles Chosen IC and only has tough 5. He is in power armor which makes up for it. But He doesn't even have base 5, it's the marks bumped 5. Typhus still gets insta-killed by anything 8 and up.

1) he's a robot.
2) since the author of C: SM explained that "UM are the best marines ever" ,its obviously available to a smurf => T6
3) only a UM dedicated to nurgle would have T6, because 2).

So your saying Cassuis is a heretic and he's now a robot nurgle UM?
So can i use him in my deathguard army?

No. Nurgle offers only T 4(5). Anything more would enable the marine to overcome the curse that nurgle placed on the Deathguard.
Without this "plague", a deathguard marine would be free. Could then cut out the sick parts and infiltrate the UM to become a robot.
So paint your marines blue and you get T6.

P.S Nothing can overcome nurgle's plague! I still love cheese.

Maybe nurgle (or his eldar-virus-test-candidate-goddes) knows a cure?

I doubt Typhus would want a cure and that would mean Nurgle would have to find a new champion and he seems pretty content with the one he's got.

Isn't Cassius described as mostly bionics, hence his T6? Then why the heck isn't Huron Blackheart T6? He's half bionics. It even describes how the captain of a Space Wolves ship repeatedly beat on him with a frost blade and caused no damage.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

And typhus should be twice as tough as both of them.

Because Huron doesn't have the right bionics he has crap CSM bionics not super fu UM bionics. It's the same reason UM all have 2 extra slots in their vehicles. They use super fu to build them better and don't fill them up with skulls like CSMs.

@ Xav:

machine god = Omnissiah , venerated by the ad mech. T = unknown.
But a C'tan has T 8 -> a star-god is touger than nurgle's servants

tbh in the background the dude survie being nomed by a tyranid monsterous creature, and that automaticlaly make him A) harder and B) more manly than typhus who lets face it is just a blob of crap in armour

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

A very tough blob of crap for your information, boohoo typhus could survive and kill a canifix and cassuis is just an old chaplin with a new hip.

I am no fan of the Ultramarines though. But lets face it, Dante has been around for awhile. He almost rivals Dante in age. So he should know pretty much what he is doing. Not to mention he isnt even Human anymore. DAMN ROBOTICS ARE TAKING OVER THE IMPERIUM!

The Emperor doesn't seem to do much for you but you sure are expected to be mutilated, suffer, and die to make him happy. And is he dead or what? If he's entombed that would mean he's dead as a doornail, right? So, how can he be happy about anything you do, or even give orders to anyone? Are you worshipping the dead now? Is that something you'd really want to do? Because it sounds freaking creepy to me.

Yeah? Typhus was aboard the Terminus Est during the Heresy. 10,000 years ago. Age is not a factor.

Well not really. Upon closer inspection, Dante would probably consider Cassius a little child at only 400 years old. Dante having ruled the Blood Angels for 1100 years. I was way off.

Either way, I think they are trying to say Robo-Men > Plague-Men

Or they just haven't gotten around to upgrading Typhus to 5th Edition?

I dunno.....
