hi everyone i've just satrted work on my new project
it will be a standard blackhawk with cadian inf sat on the side and inside with added helms (pig iron) and extended cloth to make them Dkok
i will eventually be placing the final piece onto a small slab with some orks running under them being gun downed and maybe some more Dkok storm troopers defending a point of some sort,

ive started on the hawk and began making the pilot but am awaiting the inf to come in so i can finish them off
im also awaiting the pig iron heads to come so i can gt started onthe inf asap but for now ill finish painting the hawk the best i can while i wait

Intriguing... Not so sure about the Tau models as a base unless converted. You might want to add Imperial Aquilas to their chest plates or at least try to make the armour look less like that of a Firewarrior.

yeah they'll be imperialsed in time im just waiting for the mdels to come in so i can scavange any insignia and things !
im just touching up sme bits and bobs of the chopper and ill pos the pics up soon

but its the coolest 20th century helicopter imo, besides its not to be played, its for a display only
if iwas going to make a vehicle playable i woiuld rather use something more boxy.
i'v just finished oft he pilots and painting them atm, and starting on the troops legs

Well alot has happened since the lack of cameras in the house i coudnt tke any good photos but ihave one ! and her come the photos

ive painted up the blackhawk and need to touch up on bits that i mucked up and ive modelled (badly) 3 of the cadian bodies for the edge of the black hawk
you may notice on the black hawk there is a grey light grey patch and shiny bits, thats where i mucked up with the glue 'sigh' so imm currently just correcting them along side starting the arms for the 3(2) soldiers











ok the troops, i may ditch the one with the blatent fat leg with no texture in it at all because it just looks awful and i may try and remodel these anyway because im not pleased with the results atm

I think the legs look a bit too long at the moment...as do the skirts.

yeah, they do generally look wrong haha they need remodelling big timei think ill give it another shot tomorrow

Hmm... well, it's a nicely modeled BlackHawk, but I think it will look funny with the more stylized GW figures... as it stands it's a modern BH with futuristic figures and I don't know how well they will really mesh together.

yeah its too long to match any standard 40k vehicles. its the scale of it...you would need to cut about half the length out of the thing to make it fit in better i think, lob off an inch here and there... but as it currently sits it looks good...

It looks great, reminds me of the Air Cadia helicopter that made it into white dwarf quite a few years ago. it could user some more Aquila’s though

well i remodelled the chaps on the side of the hawk and i have come up with some land versions of the troops to give an idea of wht they should look like and if i decide to use them in a game of some sort.

I like the look of these but the Grenade launcher guy looks wonky, and the 4 guys in the Hawk have really long legs.

aye the legs do look long but if i made them look shorter it doesnt look propper,
but these are better modelled compared to the last one,
grenade launcher guy isnt propperly done need to adjust him admitidley
with my holiday fast aproaching ill be able to do some solid work on these guys
