so, exactly:

What senses do they have?

What modes of communication can they use?

IMHO, It's all psychic. telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudiance and so on; "Wraithsight". but the only reliable way of doing this is through a spiritseer, as the spiritseer has real senses that are not disrupted by the ebb and flow of the warp.

I always just thought of it as two different realms.

The spirit stone is a physical aspect which holds a "spiritual" soul which only exists on the other half of existence.

So it always sees in the other side but spirit seers can help them see through into the physical realm. Sorta psychic but mostly just guiding of spirits i suppose.

According to old books they can see the material plain but it is always being shifted and blurred by the constantly changing warp the wraith's exist in. A grey whispy blurry view of the world. When being guided by a seer they psychicly get a clear window to look through into the physical realm. You can find more in the last codex for wraithguard. Same vision

There's a quote in the Codex about that, yeah.

Way I see it, WLs see kinda like Daredevil's blind-o-vision in the awesome Ben Affleck movie. Or like Frodovision from the LOTR movies. (Spirit)seers give them the shape and colour of the material world so they can be more effective.

What about hearing?

And communication - can they talk somehow?

They are telepathic. Too bad they cannot kill you with their brain.

Tempus Fugitives have included the fearsome "Wraithseer" in two of their campaign packs. ie a Wraithlord who used to be a farseer, rather than an exarch. So the Beta is the stat line of the Wraithlord with two farseer powers. So Mindwar could certainly be in there somewhere. If I ever get around to modelling one it'll be a Wraithlord with the head off of the warlock titan.
