I didn't use army-badges but i have some "bigger" vehicles and placed a marking to identificate the type of a Tank.

Used a :

-sword with scrolls (BT-sprue) at Baneblades
-Hammer (whfb) at the Hellhammer
-winged sword (DA-sprue) at the stormblade
-skull with crossed swords (decal) at the stormsword
-fist with lightning (decal) at the stormhammer

So i think about a partial sculpted ident-badge for all types.
I'm not so happy with the supplied decals , so any clue what the imperium uses other than eagles/skullz/wings would help.

Need some ideas to relate vehicles to markings. Hints to useful sprues/ decals would be welcome too.

vehicles to come and in need of badges:

#fireblade = mega-inferno cannon
#lightblade = turbolaser
#stormlord = vulcan megabolter
#shadowsword = volcano cannon
#shadowhammer = apoc missile launcher
#banesword = weapon unknown
#banehammer = weapon unknown
#hydrablade = AA-tank
#doomhammer = weapon unknown
#ARV = repair vehicle

And i do know/have common GW decal sheets for every available imperial vehicle/army (IG+SM+inq).
