Not sure if they were the standard metal storm trooper before the cadian plastics or not. You really can't miss them but just in case look on page 20 of the current imperial guard codex upper left for an excellent picture.

hey your right i was only looking in the collectors range of imperial guard my only problem now is the open face mask guys don't like them

bear in mind, theres rumours of new plastic storm troopers coming out with all the new guard stuff this june/july.

so it might be worth waiting for!

Only a few of those metal stormtroopers had open faces (4 of them, from memory) - the rest had masks on.

Both of the special weapon guys I have are masked (plasma and grenadier), and only the sgt (one of them) and three STs are unmasked (and two are the same model).

Im using the same storm troopers for my SL. For the figs with no mask I dremeled off their faces and made a green stuff press mould to produce the masks. Worked out real well but took a bit of work. You should be able to find an article about press moulds somewhere, its fairly easy.
