I wanna take this build to a fantasy tourney next month. Do I have a chance in hell? I know Ogres got unfairly nerfed this edition, but I love the models so much, I play em anyway.

I think you can go either MSU or Large Blocks to be competitive.

However, half ass in between won't get you too far.

Whether having 3 models or 4 in a unit, losing one model will cause panic.
And you don't have enough units to redirect charges/ Bait&Flee.

And leadbelchers will get you 3 times of the point investment in every 5th game.
They will do absolutely nothing for 2 games, and cause minor irritation of your opponents on the other 2.
I don't think they worth their pts.

Seriously, either go with a LARGE BLOCK and throw most of the eggs in one or two baskets.
Or, go with pure MSU and have 10 units pulling multiple charges at the same time to break units.

Ditch the power stone for a scroll.

Drop the Scrap Launcher and probably split the Belchers into 3 units of 2, rather than 2 units of three.

At this points level I like taking Yhetee's, they're actually pretty good if you manage them properly.

Gnoblars are take them or leave them. Not bad for claiming quarters though.

I just realized I made a 2500 list for the 2250 tournament. I just failed big time. I gotta redo some things. Maybe units of 3 IG will do the trick, and I like the idea of 3 units of 2 LB.

I am partial to the capabilities of the scraplauncher, yet I have seen it do nothing the past few games.

I just playtested against Vampire Counts... a 2k fight, cuz I don't have all the models to do 2250, but I adhered to this army list's idea, and I got a draw.

If you have to chose when paring it down, keep as many units of Iron Guts as you can into the list.

It is the BEST thing in the book that you can take.

What's wrong with Ogres in 7th?

New Army books are improving the other armies, and there's not going to be a new Ogre army book this year. They're being neglected.

Also, because of the cost per model, they have 2 play styles, and everyone knows em, and everyone knows how to deal with em.

well i'm returning to fantasy after 10 years of not playing, i'm just studying all the rules and army books in detail at the moment. Can you enlighten me as to what the play styles and counters are?

Multiple small units (or MSU for short) and deathstar (which under a debate in FB tactics forum in a great thread) are the two ways to run OK army.

A two year old with a Blood Thirster wearing Obsidian Armor can basically beat an experienced OK player as long as they understand the word "charge" and can physically move the model.

For every person, there are different playstyles, I personally ran a deathstar when I first got into WHFB, I loved it, until it either got stuck on a huuuuuuuuuugggggggeeee block, couldn't move how I wanted it to, stuck on blocks of stubborn/unbreakables, flank/rear charged by fast units, fear/terror'd, lose to static CR, run, chased down...

I have bad experiences... Some people sware by it, I just think it's easier to play with and/or beat if you're playing against an experienced (fast, or lucky players as well).

I'm going in that same tourney, and I can tell you if I play you, all you will know is march block, march block, whittle away, run you down with static CR...

Shrugs, You'll beat me if you get to me fast... Iff.

I play tested my Army. Would you believe every one of my Leadbelchers misfired.... :/ One died, the others got killed by a Warghulf.... Vahrgulf? Whatever, you know... the vampire counts thing.

The game was a draw. So far vs VC, I'm Win 1/Lose 1/Draw 2.
