Hmm.

I'm in with actually using Yellow to paint the Yellow armour, it would help.

Pop this in modelling next time, mate.

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

Well, for my Bad Moons, I use a recipe similar to this:

Basecoat with Iyanden Darksun (Foundation paint)

Wash with Gryphonne Sepia wash

Mix 40% Iyanden Darksun and 60 % Golden Yellow together.

Then straight Golden Yellow

Highlight with Bad Moon Yellow, and do your edges with Bleached Bone or a mix of Bleached Bone and Mad Moon Yellow (your preference)

Paint on some chips of Boltgun Metal for the wear and tear that all ork stuff recieves!

I started a Bad moon army not so long ago myself and chose a combination of yellow and black armour plates, and yellow and black checks. My system for yellow is:
1)snakebite leather,
2)75:25 snakebite/golden yellow
3)50:50 snakebite/golden
4)25:75 snakebite/golden
5)100% golden yellow
6)50:50golden/ badmoon
7)final highlight bad moon,
8)line with moon/white where required on very raised bits.
each sucessive layer should cover a bit less of the previous one but be feathered in so that you dint just get coloured lines. I have intentionally done this kinda haphazardly to give the impression of multiple re-paints of the armour of varying degrees of quality. to add damage paint areas of the yelow with thinned black then fill in with boltgun metal, taking care to leave a thin black line around the edge of the metal. The boltgun can be highlighted with mithril if needed. I vary the amount of mixes between stages 5-8 depending on how long i intend to take on the model and how good i want it to look (so basic boys are done as above wheras my warboss was done with about 7 different mix ratios of golden/bad moon). There are some pics of my first models of my army so you can get an idea of what this system looks like on my P&M blog elsewhere on this forum.

Hope that helps
