I need help writing up a Chaos Dwarf list. There's a guy at my store who used Chaos Dwarfs and I don't want to make my list too much like his, which is a shooting army. Help please?

I know I'm having this:
2 Sorcerers, Level 2, Power Stone each. (I love magic.)
16 Chaos Dwarfs, Blunderbusses.
3 units of 20 Hobgoblins. (3 points each, I can't resist.)
2 Death Rockets. (Stone Throwers with funky misfire rules.)
1 Earthshaker.
892 points.

I'm not sure what else I should have. I need a second unit of Dwarfs. I also want to take either another Sorceror or a Chaos Dwarf Hero. I also don't know what to take for the other Special choice, either 2 Bolt Throwers or another Death Rocket.

Start by taking something like the lord level sorcerer, three level two sorcerers, one unit of chaos dwarfs, 2 units of of 35 hobgoblins, 4 (or 6) units of 10 hobgoblins, 6 bolt throwers, death rocket (or just 2 more bolt throwers), 2 earthshakers. You'll have a lot of points left even after all this. You can then buy for example a ton of wolf riders (you can have like 50 if you want) and even more hobgoblins.

I think the only chaos dwarfs actually needed in the army are the earthshaker cannon crewmen and the heroes. Chaos dwarfs are still one of the outrageously overpowered armies of Warhammer. You'll do well with them, but your army will 98% consist of LD10 hobgoblins and their underpriced warmachines.

i'm working on a 1250 or 1500 list right now, but thanks for the help. The problem is that hobgoblins don't count towards my core choices, which means I must have Chaos Dwarfs to fill in my minimum core choices. Thanks, I'll keep it all in consideration. A LOT OF HOBGOBLINS.

I didn't know that they don't count for the compulsory cores. Mind boggling. I can't remember ever seeing any chaos dwarfs in chaos dwarf armies. Anyway, if that's the case you should go for 3 minimum sized blunderbuss squads.
