Hi guys I'm in the middle of a campaign and I was curious about some rules queries that will probably come up at some point.

Charging and climbing: Can it be done without the magic item (Pieters boots)? I know the rules state that you can't run up a wall, but can you charge? What if you have the wall runner or scale sheer surfaces skill?

I had a situation arise the other day when I had a guy with sprint and he picked up a treasure chest. I know he is supposed to move half distance when carrying it, but what about when he gets up from being knocked down? He is also supposed to move half distance. Does this multiply together to make a quarter move?

Is it possible to start the game hidden?

When you have the tail fighting upgrade do you get any extra chances to parry (I also have fighting claws on that guy as well so I already have 1 parry and a reroll)?

Thanks for any help
Lukus

You can't run up a wall, but you can declare a charge. If you can't see your opponent you should probably use the rules for charging someone around a corner (declare charge, if enemy model is not within 4" the charge fails, charge is only complete after your model passes an initiative test).

Models that just stood up from being knocked down can't run, so no sprint (I wasn't clear if you were applying this to the situation here). Yes, I would use quarter movement for carrying the chest in that instance.

No, unless there is some skill available to your warband that allows it (I don't remember seeing one). You could win the 1st turn roll though...

Parrying is useful, but oh so limited, and multiple parries in one round of combat aren't possible AFAIK.
You can only parry if: A) you have a weapon allowing you to parry, B) the enemy model didn't hit you with any 6's, C) your opponent's STR (including any weapon/skill modifiers) is less than twice your model's STR, and D) you haven't already attempted a parry during the current round of combat (so you can't have more than one attempt per combat round). Don't forget you can't reroll any rerolls...
