Not warhammer 40k but I have seen a reference to warhammer fantasy on an improvisation show called Thank God Your Hear [dunno if anybody outside of Australia has heard of it] but they had numerous references to Nurgle and some weapons [forget which ones] but it was fantasy because it was a take on LOTR aswell.

Cool...... I think I remember a movie made in Great Britain.....it was a family movie, but it showed a kid messing with his dad's miniatures and they were obviously space marines. He caught them on fire, but for the life of me I can't remember the movie.

I don't think I've seen anything in mainstream media, but I almost want to say I've seen it referenced in The Big Bang Theory (great show by the way). I've seen it in tons of random internet geek stuff, podcasts and blogs.
