Can I build a chimera from the contents of the basilisk box set?

If no, how far can I get?

Yes you can , dont glue the sponsons on , use the sponson heavy bolters / flamers.

Only problem is it doesnt come with multi laser if you want to use it.

Huh? The Chimera requires a big crew compartment and mini-turret, neither of which are included with the Basilisk.

The Basilisk includes an open-topped gun platform (to replace the crew compartment) and really big frickin' gun.

You can build the basic hull, but you'll need to scratchbuild a crew compartment to finish the hull, and then add a turret for the Multi-Laser / HB / HF.
