Alrighty, almost finished up with my Eldar forces, and FINALLY started to build a Wave Serpent. I have several, but other than this one, they were all purchased "pre-built" or partially painted.

On the Sprue with the Weapons, there is a little doohicky that looks a LOT like the Space Marine/IG vehicular Smoke Launcher. Now, I think that having Smoke on a transport is a Good Thing, so I delved into the Eldar Codex, and lo and behold.. there is no listing for Smoke as an option anymore.

Is this part a left-over from prior editions when the Eldar could pop Smoke? Or.. am I missing something crucial in the Eldar Codex?

It's a part that is supposed to be added to the back of a star cannon.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

But they can smoke after a battery of Hydras gets line of sight to them

They smoke generally only after they've been shot down. (speaking AS an eldar player).

Only Imperial and perhaps orks get to use smoke.

Eldar use speed and holofields to get the advantages of lesser races pyrotechnic devices.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Yeap... looks like I was wrong and those sneaky GW designers made the plasma chambers for a Starcannon look almost identical to the Imperial Smoke Launchers.

Kudos to willydstyle for noting this..
