I need help on buying units for my psyker squad, I do not know how many psyker or is there also a special unit with them, like a squad leader of some sort?
Or do i simply need 5 units of psyker and thats it? it's already capable of doing psychic choir and all that cool stuff?

GW produces a Primaris Psyker model and sanctioned psykers. You can also use older psyker models. Some of the fantasy wizards might work, too, with a little bit of conversion work.

Regardless, you need 1 minder and 9 scrubs.

Thanks for the replies. Would you guys mind to clearly describe what's a minder? or some call it overseer. Is it a figure I could buy from ebay? How many units of pyskers exactly, some say it's 4 psyker and one 'overseer'.
I'm new to warhammer 40K, I had not seen a 'overseer' or minder as JohnHWang put it.

I'm assuming you mean "to be effective" or something along those lines, since base size is clearly stated as 1 Overseer and 4 Psykers.

To the OP, get between 4 and 9 psyker minis and then do whatever for the Overseer, considering he's just a non-psyker vet sgt. with higher leadership. Maybe convert a guardsman into a "It's for your own good!" pose with his laspistol drawn.

Thanks Nerf_IG.

One more question, according to the rules, Grey knights are psykers too. Can't they function like a psyker battle squad? If yes, that would be awesome!

Uh, no. If GKs had Weaken Resolve, they would be one of the most obscenely powerful units in the game.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

GKTs cost 45+ pts each. You want a -9 penalty? That's 400+ pts.

Go for it, make my day.

My view of the overseer is he is a minor inquisitor. I am going to be using a missionary model for him.

I am using 9 renegade militia and a commissar for my Krieg army. Sanction, execution, they are all the same but he gets to execute D3 dudes that decide to get sassy.

I just like to kill my own guys honestly.

I've been using a bunch of old Necromunda wyrds, Genestealer Cult Magi, and Imperial psyker models for my choir, with an old Commissar model as the Overseer. So far this unit has been the "must kill" unit for my opponents, even the all-Fearless armies. Course, I also run a Callidus, and a Weaken Resolve and Neural Shredder combination scares people for some reason....................

I'll be using WFB flagellents (chained up) and an old sister of sigmar with a whip.

As I see it these guys are NOT volunteers.

Hmm, half-naked men in chains being ordered around by a nun with a whip. I can see where this is going.

Oh, I might have to steal that idea. Are most of those bits just from the WFB Flagellents box? I know there's other random bits thrown in, but the base minis are the flagellent box, and are there enough in there to make them look psyker-ey?
