I've been reading the price increase thread and I came up with this.
Now that another price increase looms, would youconsider these ideas?

1)Constructing a 40k army from non 40k minis?
2)Compiling a codex for it based on official codexes?
3)Introducing new races via other companie's minis?

As we all know, there are a lot of companies that produce high quality
and cheaper miniatures,I'm positive that many are viable for 40k.

Unofficial codexes are surely possible?Considering how many complaints about
codexes turn up on Dakka,Surely it's not beyond the realms of possibility
that many Dakka users could come up with a reasonable codex?

Just think of all the new races that could be introduced! The fluff
always mentions races that we know will never make it into the game, never
has there been a better time to portray them with figures from other
manufacturers.

There might be a lot of resistence to these ideas but! As the prices
rise, we may forced to think of new ways to play 40k.

Diehards(me also!)May balk at using a non GW army but if someone came
up with a playable codex would that attitude change?

Forever alone

Don't stop buying GW minis, not when you can get them from cheap online stores.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

In the end, you should use cheaper models if you like those models, not just because you want cheaper models.

I think I'd focus on this:
4) buying less stuff (unless I can get very deep discounts, >25%).

What no-GW army are you thinking of? The Pan Fo were reviled to much fanfare, but they never took off...

Being reviled to much fanfare doesn't sound auspicious.
