Hey All,

I'm just getting back into W40k from a long haitus and have decided to stick closest to my old Dark Angels. I've decided to go with repainting mine as a Successor Chapter of the Dark Angels. I like the ideas behind "The Order" within the Dark Angels fluff so I was thinking of doing something closely with them. Like I said, I'm trying to brush up on my fluff some so any added information about The Order would be helpful. Kinda thinking of something like "Sons of the Order" or "Order of Angels" or something. Color wise I'll probably have it somewhat close to the scheme of the Disciples of Caliban (Only going with the shinguards and shoulder pads as black and the rest green.) Thanks for any help!

Well, you said getting back in with your old DA, so I presume you have the DA codex? Other than that I guess you would have to go to the novels, one of the recent HH books involved the DA heavily.

your colour scheme sounds good you could maybe make them a crusadeing chapter on a never ending quest to hunt fallen across the galaxy where ever this takes them (opens up all sorts of possibilities)

Slightly off-topic, but is anyone old enough to remember the Ironwing?

Back in the days of 1st ed epic there was a fluff piece about DA that had the Legion split into 3 separate groups - Ravenwing, Ironwing and Deathwing and that their tactical doctrine was to "Discover the enemies weaknesses, test his forces and then make the killing blow"

In the intervening years the Ironwing badge disappeared but I've often thought it would be cool for someone to resurrect it...?
