If i have to guess , its the Tau Crises Sutis and their extra movement phase in the assault phase.

I thought Ninja Tau was a deep-strike based army that was suit heavy and dependent on a piece of wargear to work well, not just suits trying to hide in the assault phase.

Not quite. Ninja Tau is the implementation of buying a Positional Relay for your Commander Crisis Suit and only deploying him while leaving the rest of your force in reserve. The Pos Relay allows you to bring in one (and only one) unit per turn from reserves on a roll of 2+; so the tactic is to allow your forces to trickle in until the hammer needs to fall, and then opt not to use the Pos Relay and roll for everything.

It's effective as Kill Point denial, but I have had success with an all reserve Tau army for some time now in objective missions also. I would argue that even the Pos Relay is not needed for this army, and leaving everything in reserve is considered "Ninja Tau." Basically, the strategy of NT is to let your opponent wander around in confusion until you can bring in the bulk of your army, and then focus you firepower at his scattered units.

Over-rated? I disagree.

If your opponent has half a brain, he'll recognize what you're doing and won't have "scattered units."

Any strategy that relies on your opponent playing badly is not a good one.

So do I have "Ninja Dark Angels" since I play Deathwing?

Or do I just have "Ninja Rules" as they don't exist?

You misread me. I don't say it relies on an opponent playing badly. I am saying it is possibly one of the pros of the strategy, especially if it's the first time they see it. The reserve army is nothing new to experienced players, but you can't treat it like any other army that deploys regularly
