Ok so the guys that ran the previous tournament are going to roll the dice and give their Aussie rules another go. I wasn't going to go, but I found out that two of my other friends are going to play. I gave them a fair amount of warning regarding what happened last time, but they said if it is too slowed they would just drop out and get their own game going.

My question is this: What can I do myself to help reduce the amount of crap they may, or may not, drop on us? First thing that came to mind was to make sure that all scenarios were posted beforehand. If they are unwilling to post them should I even play? I will also make a copy of all scenarios, take plenty of aftermath pictures, and have a more reasonable battle report of each game.
