speacekh wrote:Hello this will be my next big project that I will be working on
I going to be building a chaos daemon nurgle army based on the dreaded black plague.
Looking for ideas and/or conversion concepts to fill out my army.
Here is what I have planned out so far
Herald of Nurgle - riding a collect your dead type of wagon using a converted vampire counts corpse cart
I think Specialist Games made a dead guy cart a while back. There is also the
Black Coach
speacekh wrote:Herald of nurgle - plague victim setting in rocking chair with either crows or rats around
Sure, but probably want to make it borne on the shoulders of others (like a palanquin).
speacekh wrote:beasts of nurgle - a collection of various bodies in mass grave style set up
Again, the only real obstacle here would be the look of mobility. It would have to be a heap of corpses that could move somehow as fast as a Beast in
WH40k....
speacekh wrote:plague bearers- imperial guard units with advanced signs of the black plague - boils, bleeding etc
You will want to mix in some zombie parts from a zombie plastic
WH box set. As diseases go, the outward signs of Bubonic were pretty tame. It will be hard to make them look like anything t really tired Guardsmen from a distance.
speacekh wrote:nurglings - rat swarms
Easy to do: Skaven rat swarms.
speacekh wrote:looking for suggestions on above and ideas for Demon Princes and great unclean ones along with any other unit in daemon book
Like I saw idea earlier for deamonettes that are nurses which I'll see if they fit in since I have a few of those lying around.
I will be posting pics of my work as i get further along with my project thanks for any help, advise, etc that you give.
Well, as for the Daemon Prince/
HQ (Heralds), you can reference any of the Grim Repaer art of the period. There were reapers with scythes, with sickles, some covered in blood, some playing the piper and leading souls to hell. I think a really good set of conversions from the Tomb Kings' collection would look awesome as 'unit champions' (the models with daemonic instruments and noxious touch). For the
HQ, you really can't go wrong with the suggested conversion of the C'Tan from White Dwarf. I wouldn't use the same wings though.
