A Dakka Tutorial Challenge - 'Get Your Teach On!'

The judges votes have been tabulated and we have a winner for Dakka's fist tutorial challenge!

With two 1st place votes and two 2nd place votes from the five judges the winner is:

Greenstuff Tips & Tricks by whatwhat.

If you haven't checked out this tutorial yet it is a wonderful collection of basic tips & tricks for utilizing greenstuff to make simple conversions to your models. It is the kind of thing that new hobbyists are always interested in but don't always know where to start. This tutorial gives a really good introduction to the art of greenstuff conversions.

So congratulations to whatwhat on a fantastic job as he claims the £130 (GBP) credit from WaylandGames.co.uk.

Also a massive thanks has to go out to the huge number of other entrants who put their blood, sweat and tears into making all these wonderful tutorials. These tutorials will certainly be of use to many, many other fellow hobbyists and that was ultimately the point of this contest.

Click here to see the voting thread for all 46 entries.

For completeness, the five finalists, in the order of the final judge voting, will be included below. Great job to all of you guys, any of these tutorials would have been a worthy winner!

#1) Greenstuff Tips & Tricks by whatwhat.

#2) Free Handing For Dummies by littleboyblues.

#3) Painting Camo by Northern.

#4) Greenstuff Skull Badges by Insaniak.*

#5) Making a Casting Mold with Resin by JB.

*Please note that we only took the best entry from any individual entrant, so only one of Insaniak's entries was used despite the fact that his entries had several of the top five public votes.

And one last time, a BIG thanks again goes out to the sponsors for this challenge, both WaylandGames.co.uk and Dakka user LBursley!

thanks to everyone who contributed--but also, many thanks to the admin for such a great contest idea! I've been looking through some of the tutorials for ideas for my own stuff, and we've now got some of the most useful tutorials I've ever come accross! It's a venerable library of how-to, and that is objectively awesome. Boosh!
