Some new 40k ideas I came up with recently, here they are:
Chaos Xenos army:
They are race of alien beings from another material universe.
They are balloon shaped giants who keep themselves afloat either through a large mixture
of gases in their heads or through telekinetic abilities they have. They are a very powerful
and intelligent race. They are powerful because of their psychic abilities they are born
with giving them to ability to manipulate whole 5 acre landscapes with telekinesis or
communicate with other races via telepathy. These abilities allow them to develop sophisticated
technology which they used to travel across their universe.

They don't usually fight themselves but clone creatures gentically engineered with the traits desired
for certain purposes. In their history one of their greatest physicists/philsophers/biologists
discovered that their unique ability to manipulate energy comes from the Warp.
This scientist upon discovery of this strange non-material dimension became twisted by the
feral entities and in turn experienced a great change in personality. When it once worked
unlock the many secrets of the materium, discover what makes life and how it can be created
and work to find spiritual life devoid of material things; it now works to find out how to
use the energies of the Materium and Immaterium to use them both for destruction and death
of life for the pleasing of the chaos gods and find wealth of the warp (become a powerful
presence within the warp).

This lead to a new religion within their culture, Uram as it would later be known who once
came up with the concept 'Barangu tsen' which translates to 'Cosmic body'. A concept Uram
came up with which means that all reality is a complex being constantly in a meditative state,
the teachings of this religion were that there is no such thing as personal property and that
everything should be shared and to avoid materialism as this strays you away from spiritual
connection with this cosmic being.
This religion was dominant in this alien culture and made this race devoid of xenophobia.
However Urams corruption from the warp drove him to try and turn everyone to chaos and lead
to him also turning against his own culture.

Uram managed to turn a small minority of his race to follow his cause, lead them to flee into
the warp and teach them the powerful sorcery of chaos. It wasn't until 50 of their years
(3000 in our universe) that Uram and his new army of daemons and sorcerers returned back to
their universe from the Warp and wage a great civil war against his own race, despite their
lack of sorcerers Uram's understanding of the materium and the immaterium allowed him to figure
out how to gain more and even greater abilities than the creatures of his race such as being
able to initiate mass explosions, condense surrounding energy within a ball and destroy
large sections of worlds and create deadly warp energy (lightning, doombolts etc.) and
release upon them and create fires from many lightyears away and use them to burn the Creatures
of his race and destroy their clone armies.

Uram and his chaos forces won the war and created a new Civilisation, they would then use
the daemons summoned from the Warp and take over remaining pockets of their universe
cloning operations and incorperate a new message to them, chaos is a cause to fight for.
Although the downside of this war was that most of Urams race had been exterminated and he
and a few hundred of his followers were the only members of his race left. The scientist who
first discovered the Warp now named his followers the Vhiurxens which translates to
'Governors', this is because he incorporated the message to them that all they see belongs
to them also leading them to now name know as Khurinxclu Uram which translates to
'Universal Governor of Daemons' as he now had almost godly powers stronger than that of Greater
Daemons.

Before the heresy there had been a race of humans who had evolved a strange trait, a trait
never seen even amongst other abhumans.
These people lived on a lush jungle world like that of Catachan, this world was feral and full of savage xenos species.
These abhumans evolved several traits to allow survivival on this unpredictable hell of a planet, characteristics
that would change them so drastically that they would be unrecognizable amongst regular
humans. Their eyes were wide, spherical and cat-like in pupil shape and colour.
They had psychic abilities which they unknowingly used to change the colour of their reptilian-like skin almost instantly at their own will, allowing them also to shape patterns for cultural reasons or create leaf patterns for camoflouge during warfare and the ability to positively communicate with even the most aggressive and feral of animals (When the Spirit-doctors do this their eyes glow because of their psychic presence within the warp).
They were slightly taller than average human height with an unusual patch of hair on their heads shaped like
a mohawk which they spent little time to tend to.
Their culture was like that of typical savage feral world human tribes but with a strange
difference, they had a view of the Imperial Emporer as an zoomorphic deity known as the
'God-Serpent', little is known about this belief except that it was an excuse for the Imperium
to Massacre them, deeming it as 'Backward heresy'.
It wasn't long before the Emporer had noticed their strange abilities, thinking of a possible
significance of these People back in the Imperial Guard. They were accepted into imperial culture
even assimilating and eventually becoming familiar with the technology they possessed.
It wasn't long till the Horus Heresy had occured and the Emporer had become mortally wounded
and connected into the Golden Throne.
The attitudes of the Imperium had then changed and passed laws on who was considered an Imperial
citizen and who wasn't. The Rangans were the first to be banished, to take a space craft and
aimlessly travel into nowhere.
Thousands of years later they had been found on a planet named Ranga, this was a world more
dangerous and feral than their last world. Their society and religion had converged into large
civilisations, some deminishing back to the hunter-gatherer tribes they used to be and others
being as advanced enough to invent blackpowder and primitive electrical machinery.
One prominent tribe who would later become auxiliiaries to the Tau were the Narugong Barangu
tribe which in their native tongue means 'Spirits of the land'. They call themselves this
because in their mythology they believe that they and Omniverse (Materium and beyond) is all
one spiritual being, in the whole of the Omniverse there are evil(iri) and good(opa) forces.
When they change their skin colours in tradition they represent these two energies co-existing
in patterns of red and white. They do this with clay or paint on horses or their dogs.

What do you think?

Sorry, but the "floating gas bag" niche has already been filled in 40k by the mythical Pan Fo.

Today I didn't even have to use my hot-shot las; I gotta say it was a good day.

Forever alone

Don't say anything! We are swan to secrecy!

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

For Chaos Xenos, how about if the Xenos were Eldars?

Or maybe just Chaos Guard?

Could it be that simple?
