So GW has gotten more money from me again! Today I went out and got a Imperial Bastion and the Planetstrike Codex. So far looking through it my first impressions is I really like it. I haven't got to play a game yet but it looks fairly good. The rules are simple enough to understand and there are lots of new stratagems that are race specific as well as attacker and defender. Its eighty pages long and with some cool stories and quotes. With the stories and quotes come along with a campaign line and notable wars/battles. With that there is also very nice pictures of bases and bunkers and bastions as well as some nice drawings.

Now on the bastion. The bastion is an amazing model. It has loads of options and little details that are very cool, a word to the wise though make sure everything is flush. Make sure that you clean the mold lines and the injection points cause if you don't the walls wont fit together correctly. It has some nice options for the whole thing. The only down point is that it is just empty shell so you might want to make a base for the bottom of it.

Hope this helped you out in you quest for planetary domination

Enjoy!
