Hey forum,

I was reading through my "old" rulebook of The Lost and the Damned, and i wondered where they stand, now that Chaos and Demons has divided into two? What is the official standpoint from GW? As in: the new Imperial Guard Codex, can we use it or not? Codex Demons - and Codex Chaos Space Marine - are they both available, as before?

I haven't got either of the new Chaos or Demon codex's but I'm hoping there's a reason to buy em

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

They no longer stand. GW cut off their legs, and are currently using them to beat Vassal40k into a bloody pulp. They're stuck wheeling around the psych ward, babbling incoherently. At least GW left them with that last bit.

Why, just proxy them with the IG codex. They're just as viable as any other!

That's exactly what I'm planning on doing... but then again my LatD was Traitor heavy anyway so it's not too much of a loss for me.

I feel sorry for the people that sank a lot into mutants. At least my Zombie Traitor Guard are half way believable.

They're not discontinued, you can still use them in Apocalypse.

The Emperor doesn't seem to do much for you but you sure are expected to be mutilated, suffer, and die to make him happy. And is he dead or what? If he's entombed that would mean he's dead as a doornail, right? So, how can he be happy about anything you do, or even give orders to anyone? Are you worshipping the dead now? Is that something you'd really want to do? Because it sounds freaking creepy to me.

Yes, LatD are gone. It makes me even sadder.

Too bad GW won't put Chaos Daemons, CSM, and LatD into one large Codex.

Too bad GW decided to torpedo one of it's most flavorful and interesting armies, and basicly castrate another (CSM),yes it would be great if GW did one large Chaos codex consisting of all of the above,or even several seperate codices covering all the "Chaos flavors",the thing is ,how would GW handle the project?
I honestly would love to say they would release a tome(s) of greatness, but in truth I wouldn't hold my breath.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

If you don't like it, write GW a letter. Seriously. It's the single best way to get their attention. GW treats snail mail infinitely more seriously than e-mail, and responds to a good portion of it.

When I wrote to them, made the case for LatD and pointed them to our online petition (over 1000 sigs), I got a response back from Jervis (not a form letter).

It wasn't the answer I hoped for, but it confirmed that GW still liked the concept of LatD, it's just that there wasn't any plans for them. So we need to give them a business reason.

I'm saying it again...get off your butt and send them a letter. It's cheap, easy and you might even hear from Jervis himself.

Of course for each letter asking for LatD, there will be another dozen asking for Moar Marinz...

... at least if releases to date are anything to go by...

This from the guy who insisted that LatD hadn't lost their list because 'Counts As' allowed you to play them.

I read this thread yesterday and thought to myself, "H.B.M.C must be on the can, because he has yet to post in here." Not 12 hours later and you now have TWO posts in here...but niether of them the tirade I had been expecting. I think you're making progress, H.B.M.C.

You should use a lot of rough riders if you're going to do it, but convert them to look chaotic. Cultists riding daemon beasts if you get what I mean. The headless horseman.
