im thinking of adding a painboy to my nob mob of 10. im just wondering if the advantages of the painboy (mainly "feel no pain") are worth the 16 buck's that games workshop is pushing

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!! 92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your sig. 1500 pt ork |

If you've already got a squad of 10 nobs, I think you'd better get a painboy. Giving the whole squad Feel no Pain is huge. Access to cybork body is a nice plus.

The Emperor doesn't seem to do much for you but you sure are expected to be mutilated, suffer, and die to make him happy. And is he dead or what? If he's entombed that would mean he's dead as a doornail, right? So, how can he be happy about anything you do, or even give orders to anyone? Are you worshipping the dead now? Is that something you'd really want to do? Because it sounds freaking creepy to me. |

Orkeosaurus speaks the truth,Painboyz are (for me) a must take, however, you don't have to shell out the money for the metal GW one, just do a bit of converting on one of the Nobz you already have.

IF you're ordering from Canada, use www. gc-minis.com
I have no affiliation with any of them, but I just ordered $600 worth of stuff for just over $400. I know that from here it can be a pain ordering from international dealers.
Hope that helps ya some

If you're not ordering from Canada though, avoid GC-Minis, as they haven't ugpraded to 20th Century technology yet, and still require smoke signals in order to receive payment.
No, sorry, I'm wrong. They do take Morse Code.

Or....just convert your own painboy with bits.
I made mine with a Nob and some SM Apothecary bits. Then again, I play Deffskullz, so all my stuff is made out of looted Imperial garbage

I too would advise anybody to take a painboy in a nob squad. I run 6 nobs in a squad and still take a painboy.
I converted mine from the plastic nob box using a space marine loin cloth as his face mask and a bit of filed plastic as needles glued to a chopped-up gun.

I also endorse Painboyz..
Mine was made from the Ork Nobz box, using the crossed bone bannerpoletopper, the full face cybork head, the buzzsaw arm, and a styringe made from a Rokkit, heated and stretched.. with the apron cloth from that box..
No one has any problems figuring that out on the tabletop..
(and I am happy to pay the 50 or so points for him.. )

I converted my own by sculpting a doctor's mask over his mouth, using the buzzsaw arm in the box, and adding in some spare bits from other medics; namely the Catachan medic and an Apothecary shoulder pad. If you're into converting this is a pretty good solution. It's also nice if you're going for an all-plastic army like I am.

I raided some skulls from my AOBR Warboss's shoulder and glued them to an AOBR nob that already had a skull on its helmet. Then, I gave it a lego buzzsaw for the doks tools. Lastly, I cut the ammo clip from the slugga, and glued it up in place of the slugga barrel, then filing a thin piece of sprue to look like a needle, which left for a nice looking syringe. Good luck if you decide to custom make your Painboy, if not you must have too much spare cash to toss around
