Which Horus Heresy Novel has Blood Angels in it? Has there been one solely focused on BA?

I dont think there has been yet, im not sure.
But im still reading number 1. You read it? Its very cool

I have read most all, I missed the last 2 (or 3?) novels though....

First novel features Sanguinius for a bit and that's it for the whole series. Maybe in the future, maybe not.

None so far. If you just want a normal Blood Angels book though, try Red Fury and the rest of its series, or hunt down the Bloodquest comics.

If you're a Blood Angel fan, and you read the first two books in the Blood Angel series, prepare to be annoyed, at the very least.

Some not so good writing and a VERY over the top plot...

Not GW/BL's best work, to be sure.

It was ... awkward to say the least.

It was horrible, all of it.

The first one has a Blood Angels Cameo.

I completely misread the first post as Dark Angels, instead of Blood Angels. I guess I saw what I wanted, there.

Mediocre at best or not, the Blood Angels do have an omnibus, and as far as I can tell the DA have "Angels of Darkness". So I'm all over that Fallen book, and sympathise only a little for BA...until that DA omnibus - and the preceding novels - comes out.

Hopefully the BAs get a book soon that Swallow doesn't write.

That dude is terrible.

It's about Blood Angel novels set during the Horus Heresy. Only in the first novel of the series, Horus Rising, do the BA's appear.

And aside from setting up the tragedy that is Horus killing Sanguinius, all the BA's are in that book are chumps who can't effectively manage a surface drop and are wiped to a man.

If they do any more BA involvement in the Horus Heresy, I would imagine it would have to be at the seige of the Emperor's palace on Terra. After all, I hear the BA were there. Hopefully they wont be made out to be such weak kneed girls in that one.

Yeah, but they didn't do anything important, like Fighting Horus or anything.

The Blood Angels do deserve to have some decent prose done for them and hopefully their appearance in the Horus Heresy books, however brief, will be worthy of the chapter. But I am going to be very happy to read the Dark Angel stuff. I'm kind of a sucker for the fluff.

We'll the reviews for Swallow's work does not sound good...however I bought a used BA omnibus & book 3, for $3.00 off Amazon....so no great loss if I do not like what I read.....I also bought the rage audio book of a BA story....still waiting for that to arrive......

As mentioned, the BA are in the 1st book of series, but if your looking specifically for the BA, you may be disappointed. The storyline focuses on other Marine chapters when they go to fight on the side of the Blood Angels, on the planet Murder.

I'm not expecting much from the BA in the Horus Heresy books, since it's only -after- Sanguinus's death that the chapter becomes "intresting"

Well, since they are considered to have a more secretive past than the DA iirc, since nobody knows, it makes sense to either a) give a clue or two in the HH books or b)write them out other than some of their conflicts.

They could do a whole book about how Horus' tricks Sanguinious into taking the legion to the chaos infested world full of khorne demons and sangiunious fights a named greater bloodthirster by himself. I dunno there's some good fluff floating around that takes place pre-battle of terra that can be turned into a book.
