Ok I'm confused on what template the Frag Grenade uses. I know it says the Gas Cloud template, but in the rules it shows somebody shooting a blast template from a Grenade Launcher and it looks like the small template (Blast?). I appreciate any help you guys can offer (or faq links as well).

I assumed it was the small blast, but I was told that that's what a gas cloud template meant. But I have no Necromunda models, and have never played a game of Necromunda, so what do I know.

Frag grenades use the standard small blast. But some of the other special grenades use the "gas cloud" blast which is no longer in production. Our gaming group uses the large blast for it.

Actually, it depends on what version of the game you are playing. In the most recent version, after the latest updates and FAQs, frag grenades were made more powerful and given the Gas Cloud Template. The larger of the two 40k round templates. All the pictures will show the smaller template as a result of the book being produced before the latest version of the rules, but nowadays, frags are all gas cloud.

Other grenades, like the plasma for example, still use the smaller 'blast' template and most gas grenades use the 'gas cloud' as well.

Yetischool, is that the same for frag missiles?

The Frag says Blast and it has a higher Strength so I can see that using the smaller blast.

That is exactly the case Barlio. During the first Rules Review for Necro, it was decided that no one was taking grenades anymore because with the new templates they were not worth the creds. To remedy this, frag grenades were given a lower strength but a greater radius. Frag Missiles on the other hand are still at strength 4 and so they continue to use the Blast template.
