As for your question, I think that they would've survived. See, I'm willing to bet they would've outflanked the whole alien army and kicked Xen back into next week. I'm not sure how they would've done this though, as it would take some sort of Tactical Geniu-

Yeah, Blueshift was cool and I think that the Guard would be sent in, die to the Xenmasters and then the Grey Knights would be all like "WTF dude! its a daemon!"
then Xen would kinda cease to exist.
