What’s your Warhammer Soundtrack?

What music do you listen to when painting or gaming?

What music do you think suits each race?

And If they made a Warhammer film what do you think would work best for the sound track?

Rammstein, Lord of the Rings, Rasmus or Linkin Park are the ones I sometimes listen to. But mainly we game in silence and catch up on recent events.

Dragonforce. I have liked them for a while now (I hate that they got that song in Guitar Heroes. Now I have to deal with people who think I like them just because of that)

Dawn Of War Soundtrack by Inon Zur.

Most Soundtracks by Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Carribean, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Last Samurai ETC).

Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen by Steve Jablonsky.

Probably Nurgle, Africa has the lock on that.

Music to Make War-Gaming By!

Painting I usually have Star Trek on. (Becuase painting WH40K alone isn't nerdy enough)

Playing- epic soundtracks or something loud and fast.
And sometimes Simon & Garfunkel's the Sound of Silence is great for setting the mood.

+1 Geek
While painting I listen to classic video game tracks ie : Zelda, Kid Icarus, Super Mario Brothers, Castlevania etc...

Music like this without the video of course...

While playing the trend of the group has leaned to Dethklok.

Music while playing is frightfully distracting and really takes you out of the game, in my experience. I'd rather focus on the game I'm playing.

While painting, I'll put on just about anything. The Dawn of War II soundtrack, Fallout 3 soundtrack, rockabilly, psychobilly, whatever I've got on my hard drive.

Do one of these threads pop up every week or is it just me?

Yes, these threads to pop A LOT. And as every time I can say that I've got my drive full of movie and videogame soundtracks, some of which fit perfectly to a nice game of 40k.

When I have friends over for Warhammer, we listen to a playlist I put together on Youtube formed of various tributes, epic music and official Warhammer soundtracks:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRNCzH2um4A&feature=PlayList&p=CAB7DEE99BD55645&index=0&playnext=1

Enjoy!

Thought I'd give the whole 'Blogger' lark a go...
-Cadian 812th (rotting in a cupboard)
-Dark Angels 3rd Company (in disfavour, eBay?)
-Irun'Mahn (pretty and deserve love; why aren't I giving them it?)
-Draigo 'n' his Merry Band (to be continued) - How to magnetise Grey Knight strike squads' two-handed and special weapons
-The Maggot Host
Klan WurldWaagh -Are now in my first P&M blog! If you like the idea of WW2 and Orks, please take a look...

I'm with Zyklon. Bolt Thrower, ftw.

Nothing gets your blood pumping like "Last Stand of Humanity" when doing a Guard v. Tyranid game

Although, for added Guard cred...

How many of you knew that Dan Abnett's "Traitor General" has a soundtrack done by John Bergin?

Remind me not to play you without earplugs.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

Although my friends prefer louder rock music while playing, I just enjoy the background noise some ambient music can provide. It doesn't distract you with lyrics but still adds a bit of a relaxing atmosphere.

I have no idea how any of you can focus on the game with metal playing. I love me some thrash metal, but I'd never put on a Megadeth record while playing 40k. While painting, maybe, but not while playing.

Brother--

I have no local store at the moment, so mostly end up playing games at my house on the tables I'm working on. Heck, we're finishing the attic so we can have a permanent hobby/gaming area for 40k/fantasy. That means the music gets to start blaring to warn the other folk in the home that a game is in progress

Plus, it's either metal or listening to Journey, and it's a disgrace to hear people trying to sing along to "Don't Stop Believin" after their fourth beer.

Also on a side note. Do not make a bottle of Jack Daniels a capture point...either no one wins or everyone wins. Really not going to go into too much detail from the last incident. Beeracide is a serious offense punishable by death in most countries.
