Rechard Combsky is a Vostroyan Lord Commisar. Who was drafted to help the Inquisition. After being sick of the sly and vindictive nature of a inquisitor Rechard goes rogue and shoot's him in the head. Somehow convinces his stromtroopers to go rogue. Being from a Forgeworld he has PLENTY of gear and tank's for his regiment. Nigh on the path of dieing. A Slannesh Lord lends him aid, and soon he becomes a full blown chaos Traitor.

Could it happen? I know guard go traitor all the time no just to chaos but to Tau, or simply think the Imperium is noob and throws off their shackles and fight back.

But could something sorta like Vraks happen? just without the werid headgear? and cool steampunk space cossacks?

I've sold so many armies. :(

Hell yeah it could! Disillusioned Imperial Guard troopers form the majority of the traitorous scum that infest the galaxy. I think that this scenario fits perfectly with the 40k universe. I especially like how the officer's descent into madness starts with an act that, while rebellious, doesn't immediately brand him a Chaos devotee. The fact that its a Slaanesh lord working to corrupt him just sweetens the deal.

Slaneesh may seem fun now, but when you find yourself in bed with a he-goat and several implements of pain, you'll know you've gone too far. -Emperor's Faithful

Rechard loved his fellow man, he almost never had to "Motivate" his regiment even the outsider's a few Valhallen's,Cadians liked him.
The Inquisitor just pulled his strings.

I'm glad you like it

Although it sounds a little unlikley that commisar started the heresy, considering their the ones who usually die when their troops turn on them. But since there still only men, it could happen, just a bit more unlikley.

I doubt it would happen. Almost all Commisars are trained from childhood to be unflinching in their loyalty, giving their own lives as an example to their men. But yeah, its fully possible, Inquisitors are a-holes.

This is all pluasible EXCEPT for the fact that the guy is a Commissar.

Pros:
1) It explains why the Storm Troopers were loyal to him (commissar start out as storm troopers)
2) It explains his willingness to blow the brains out of the a-hole inquisitor. (No patience for rougues or jackasses)

Cons:
1) While killing an Inquisitor is one thing, turning his back on the imperium is ENTIRELY something else.
2) Turning TO chaos for help is even less likely.

Plausible solution: the inquisitor was in the right, but the commissar and the storm troopers have been corrupted. (Slaanesh cult at the Schola Progenium, where storm troopers AND sistas are trained )

He would probably have to be entirely corrupted BEFORE the Slaanesh Lord lends him aid. (Could be hidden though)
