Reading threw all the fluff i could find as well as there codices. 1k sons seem fairly limited in what they use and bring to the field. Sorcerers and rubrics marines and termis really seems to be it. oh and demons of course.

But that cant be all there is?

I would like to assume that they do tote along armor as well. Defilers seem like a likly choice but not really being able to come across or find anything that points one way or the other.

Anyone have anything that states otherwise.

Well your right, Sorcerers, thousand son, defilers, terminators, greater demons, lesser demons, Dakka predators, Obliterators.

Why oblits?

And as for any armor that needs a driver. Who is driving it? I dont see Rubric marines really being up to that task well I could see demonic possession comeing into play for that as well.

Demons, Magic would drive the vehicles.

Obliterators always seemed to fit into the thousand son theme, I mean they merged themselves with there weapons using the power of the warp, and there usualy heavily mutated and they cant take there armour off.

But Rubric Marines aren't merged with their armour. They ARE their armour; you could certainly do a counts-as but most Obliterators I've seen actually have flesh and bone left that's merged with or underneath their armour.

Actually, it was a techno-virus, not the power of the warp.

The new codex tends to emphasise the mixed warband organisation of the chaos legions. Even if that doesn't extend to the Thousand Sons who were divided between Magnus and Ahriman, surely it isn't a stretch to imagine that the Planet of Sorcerers ran a few recruitment campaigns over 10,000 years? Mention is made of Ahriman abducting potential sorcerer adepts from libraries and such in the chaos codex, for example.

I'm not suggesting that the Thousand Sons should march to battle next to beserkers and plague marines every time, but surely there would be nothing wrong with some CSMs or raptors with the mark of Tzeentch?
