Hey there, thanks for visiting my blog. This blog will be about a small squad of Dark Angels veterans that specialize in recon missions as well as VIP escort-acting as Honor Guard-,sabotage etc. There will be at least 10 men in the squad that will include:
-A veteran Sergeant,
-About 5 Veteran Marines with Bolters,
-A veteran with a rocket launcher,
-A veteran with a heavy bolter,
-A Dark Angels Techmarine,
-A Dark Angels Field Medic(Apothecary),
-Maybe 1 Land Speeder,or a Scout and Space Marine Landspeeders,
-Either a Land Rider Crusader or a Rhino
The main purpose of the squad is to mainly infiltrate the enemy lines and cause havoc within them while the main forces attack from the frontlines.

The first figure that I would like to share with you is my favorite one,Battle Brother/Veteran Sergeant Wolfius of the Dark Angels' Recon Squad:

Well, that's it for now.Any comments are welcome! I will try to finish at least one figure by Friday so keep tight!

Sounds like a good idea. I don't know about Dark Angels much, but Dark Angel Green camo with patches of kommando khaki and chaos black could be interesting for ya infiltrating type group. Unless your definition of infiltration is walking in like a Terminator.

Look forward to ya update friday.

"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds." ~ HK-47

I like the idea of doing a little theme army, maybe for use in apoc games?

Thanks for your comments!Im glad people like it ^^ so,

The head is from Dark Angels Ravenwing Bike Squadron,it is originally meant to be a head for your custom Techmarine as on the visor on the side of his head it looks like bound with a cog, but i simply cut them off and smoothed it.

About the Apoc. games-this squad, while meant for regular WH40k rather than Apoc., could work there too I guess, so thanks for the idea!

Lookin awesome so far , the only thing where a latex glove or pic up a clay shaper to avoid finger print markings on the green stuff . I get lazy all the time and sometimes don't catch a finger print or two til I prime it than i have to go back and sand it down , super pain in the grion .

You have to be careful with latex gloves and fingerprints; in my experience they won't do much to protect you from them if you're applying a lot of pressure. I also recommend a thin layer of Vaseline on your gloves/fingers and on the sculpting tool to prevent the Green Stuff from sticking or becoming ragged.

That said, your sculpting is good. I especially like the shoulders on that pre-Heresy Marine.

Nice suppressors on the bolters. I used the same technique when I built my Raptor army a few years ago. Good stuff!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Thanks for the advice ! About the shoulder pads- I used the Dreadnought legs protectors since they looked close enough to shoulder protection, heh.
And thanks for the comments!! I have a Friday off college so i think I'll manage to finish one figure till Friday night

DAYUM, after two years of neglecting my Dark Angels, and stuff going on in my life, I've finally came back to WH40k and with a bang. I got my hands on a Dark Vengeance set to boost my chapter, which I called Angels of Purification. And, without further ado, I present you the current images of the updated Angels of Purification Recon Squad (although I might change that name too):

(The pictures came out big, due to the black paint not giving the detail out correctly, I'll be getting a new set of paints soon to put some life into the models!)

A Librarian with he Sergeant

The Medic with one of the veterans

Two veterans

A combi-flamer veteran with a missile launcher one

And finally, a veteran with an assault cannon and veteran with a sniper rifle

I'm currently re-writing their background and origin stories and plan how they'll expand. I noticed I missed out my custom Techmarine and another veteran, I believe, and will add their pictures tomorrow, so stay tuned! The entire chapter is supposed to be a small group of elites, but I might go further with adding another squad and so on. We'll see, for now, enjoy! Any feedback is welcome!
