So I have a box of Chaos Space Marines that my mother got me last Christmas, which I have been meaning to paint up for a fair while. So I figure I'll make a unit of Iron Warriors.

But the problem is, I have no idea how to go about it. You see dispite wanting to, I haven't got around to learning how to play 40k yet. I will one day, I swear! But untill then I have some Chaos Marines I wanna paint up, so I ask these three questions:

1) I figure I'll arm them with Bolters, as apposed to Bolter Pistols and CCW. Does this sould right for a Iron Warrior Squad?

2) What heavy weapons should I take (Keeping in mind I wanna keep the whole Seige aspect of the Iron Warriors)? I only have what came on the spur/in the box, ie: Heavy Bolter, Flamer, Meltagun and Plasma Gun. But if needs be I can try and get others.

3) While looking around the 'net for help, I kept seeing mention of a 'Mark of Chaos Undivided'. What is it, how do you show it on a miniature, and should I take it?

Thanks in advanced.

I'd get more play time, play with a sexier model, and have a better story to tell afterwards.

Of course, at the current prices for FW Thunderhawks, it's enough to make the party interesting with a 2nd girl and small pile of blow... "

Ok

Iron warriors have both the chainsword bolt pistol and bolter.. however traditionally they are armed with bolters on the model.

2nd people gnereally seem to put basic chaos space marines in a rhino and give them two melta guns (which you likely dont have in the one box set). They do this becuase they can drive up and destroy a tank with the melta , and 10 marines for 1 heavy weapon is not considered cost effective.

3rd icon of chaos glory is the current version of mark of undivided, and is ususally represented via a carried banner or pole on the backpack of one of the marines. It allows the squad to reroll their leadership test if failed IIRC. This icon can be on any marine and when the model carrying dies the unit loses the reroll ability, so people put these on improtant models such as special weapon troopers or the champion if he has apowerfist..

Hope that helps and that I didnt get ninja'd

1) All CSM have bolter, BPs, and CCWs. I model my IW with bolters.
2) Don't use heavy weapons in CSM squads. 2 Meltas or 2 Flamers is the way to go.
3) Mark of chaos Undivided = "Icon of Chaos Glory". It's the banner with the Chaos Star on it.
