Friends asked why we are doing four rounds over two days ??? Heres my response from the FOWNE fan site, I thought if your thinking of attending or cant make up your mind this might have some info you'll take into consideration

QUESTION: why two days and not one aren't you afraid you have less of a turn-out;
ANSWER:
Why? Well, the Nationals are a three day event with a butt load of rounds and we think that a qualifier should be similar to what you should expect from a event like this all I did was add on 1 more round and plan it for Sunday morning. That round should be over nice and early so folks can get on the road and head home.

Also, I"m there for two days and wanted to try one longer game instead of two different ones so I can get on the road early as well as there is a lot to pack and unpack.

FOW events are set up for 3 to 5 rounds, I thought two rounds on Sunday wasn't something most folks would want to do, so I wanted to test out a 4 round type event with just the one morning round on Sunday and maybe get folks to give it a try.

Total con has signed on to their current location for about 4 more years. I'm hoping this will grow over the next few, and I'd like to see what works and what doesn't and also to "up it a little" being a con we can do a bit more than we can at a retail location and offer more options to the fan base both local and those travelling from out side of New England who might only get out here once a year for this Total Con event that one round extra is for them in a small way.

I think Total Con offers alot for not just the gamer but also for the gamer and his or her family ( this falls on Ma. school vacation). I was very impressed with the number of folks that planned for a vacation around this. One thing that blew me away was the guitar hero game on a massive screen set up for all the kids from age 9 to 90 to play on by the pool at the Hotel, it was always being used! Next on that list of things was the prizes and organization... these folks got there gak together ...can't say that about some of the other cons I've been attending....

The folks at Total Con had a local artist make up terrain in 15mm. I think the Humphrey brothers took some of that home last year. They knew "we" were coming (FOWNE) and went the extra mile to accommodate a new group in there prize line up. This year I'm donating FOW product and trophies for the winners along with nice tables to game on and my funny jokes and antics.

My juggling isn't were it should be so I can't say I'll be doing that this year..lol

Last call

We have tables and scenery all packed to go and someone to "sit the dog" now all that's needed is to pack up some store stock to bring to Total con 2010, This year we'll be having a sales booth in the dealers room and we'll be asking folks to shop with us doing so allows us to hold events like this but with limited space in the van Id like to ask folks one last time if they need anything to let use know so we might bring something we can sell rather than guessing and hoping we make a sale. Ive got two emails from folks needing something. Im hoping you'll reach into your wallets and spend with Adler hobby so we can continue to do these great events just email your wants and questions to our store email at adlerhobby@yahoo.com

Denise And I thank you and look forward to seeing you all this Saturday.

Cheers
