Couple of (hopefully) quick questions.

Is Aeronautica Imperialis set in the same scale as normal Epic. I've been looking at the models on Forge World and I just can't quite tell.

Secondly I notice that the AI miniatures seem to have been out of stock on the site for quite a while. Does anyone know if there's a reason for this, are they in the process of revamping it or possibly killing it off?

AE is an aircraft rules set using the same models as Epic. No idea what FW is doing with their figures.

AI models are a bit bigger than their Epic counterparts but closer to what the scale should be (does that make sense?).

Looking at the FW site most of the stuff is listed as in stock. A few of the support craft aren't available but most of your games will just be the fighters.

IIRC the models are bigger, about twice the size. It's a stand alone game.

Now you should be able to play it with Epic models but you'll want the nifty bases they have to keep track of altitude etc.

Most of the AI models were FW's Epic flyers(sans the ones released post AI) and AA vehicles before they were AI vehicles. Yes, they're bigger, but they're more accurate to scale within Epic, as well.
