The most competitive Mono Daemons of Chaos list is probably a Tzeentch Magic heavy army.

The army list basically comes down to this:

Kairos Fateweaver

3x Flying Herald with Master of Sorcery (or 2x and the Bluescribes)

3x10 Pink Horrors

2x6 Flamers of Tzeentch

If points allow, you could also add some Screamers of Tzeentch. This army has been played by a lot of people and it is very competitive. There are only few armies which can stand up to it (Ring of Hotek Dark Elves, Teclis High Elves). The new Skaven banner of no flying will also be annoying to play against for the Mono Tzeentch list.

Flesh Hounds are also quite nasty if you know how to use 'em.

Oreo_Golem, he asked for a Mono list, so I didn't include Flesh Hounds in the army list, because it is a Mono Tzeentch army.

Tzeentch is the most competitive/

mono Khorne lacks magic defense against movement, buff and summon spells (VC will wreck you)

mono Nugle can be ok, lacks killing but wont die but not as overly powerful as mono tzeentch

mono slaneesh I would imagine has problems with high toughness and armor save units, LD bomb is probably best bet
