So, now that my Dark Elves are wrapping up (Painting/Purchasing wise, of course, they've got MANY games ahead way before these guys are churned out) I've decided to play WOC as my next army. I went for an all-Nurgle theme, as I've never really done a Nurgle army.

I like it dude, very theme-y Good on the trolls too, very cool.

Here's my gentlely spun version:

H: Exalted - MoN, filth mace, shield = 175
H: Sorcerer - MoN, biting blade, level 2, steed = 156

Nothing really mind-blowing, mostly just getting some shields out there and giving the knights a little help with embarrassing draws. The glaive is not the best weapon, but it is ultra fluffy for nurgle ... but so is the filth mace! Poison is so-so on a S5 dude, but the terror that kicks in - including immunity for his unit against fear/terror causers - is worth the 10 pt difference. Also with the glaive, you really need to fight some tough big stuff that will hold against you, not kill the exalted / the unit, get wounded and have that T2 ding kick in. I dunno, maybe this works out for people more often than I think? For smaller characters I'd just shoot to kill them with a sword o' might or something.

Filth Mace also works. I was afraid of some kind of Giant or something, so I thought the Glaive would be useful. Still, I see your point, as I don't really have much defense against Psych in general.

Not quite keen on the biting blade, but it's probably 5 points or so.

Well it's that or favor, and I guess I prefer having the sorcerer be a bit better in eventual combats than the favor which has about equal chance of being used

Yep, pretty simple list I guess! I suppose another option is to go with 2 sorcerers and get the bewbs rolling. You could drop the exalted and the biting blade to take ...

Sorcerer - MoN, power familiar, enchanted shield, level 2 = 180

... and put him with the 11 warriors like before. Magic ftw? 1+ save isn't bad, and he does bring the heat.

Which is True, but I was going to eventually use the Exalted as a BSB.

Though, at 1,500 I'm absolutely certain I'm adding another Nurgle Sorc.

Whilst a 1+ save for a Sorcerer is certainly amazing, I was thinking something like Sword of Battle.
