Brother is looking to start fantasy, I myself only play WoC and know very little beyond hating demons.

In his defense he picked them with zero supposed knowledge of how overpowered they were, going on looks/lore alone.

What would be a simple yet somewhat competitive (lol I mean I guess its harder to NOT make a competitive demons list) list he could run?

I hear straight Khorne is pretty point and shoot in how it plays and the ward saves and magic resist pretty much let you survive without having to outplay somebody during their magic phase.

The last thing I guess to consider is he definitely likes fantasy, he has played my WoC army and enjoys the game as a whole, so another criteria to this list would be its ability to transform easily into a highly competitive one. Or in other words it would also be helpful if a good portion of the units in the list could also be used in a tournament list so he doesn't have to drop a lot of $$$ if he decides to get competitive with fantasy.

Thanks in advance.

for $$ sake, maximizing Plastic Core troops would be the best bet, followed by using the plastic Chaos Warhounds as Flesh Hounds. Greater Daemons are incredible units which are a steal for their points, but it is really up to you and your brother as to how nasty you want to be with Daemons.

If you dont want "cheese", just dont bring any Greater Daemons or use Khorne/Tzeentch special and rare choices....if you want a vicious competive army, well just follow the reverse! Flesh Hounds and Flamers for all, and for all, a goodnight! + a Thirster.

Also warn him that they are going to be nerfed in the next edition... I hear rumours of fear being altered and of infantry blocks combat res being changed.

I think daemons are going to lose much of their shine... And not before time.
