I don't remember when exactly but they did a whole series on the original chapters and the primarchs in the White Dwarfs. I really liked them and would like to get my hands on them. I think they made a book of them but I don't remember for sure. Either way, I'd like to know the book or what White Dwarfs had them if anyone can help?

(If you have 'em and want to get rid of them, I might be able to take them off your hands...)

They were called Index Astartes, my friend. They included chapter descriptions, as well as assorted other articles on Librarians, process of making a Space Marine, Predators, etc. I do believe they released them in a book, but it's probably not in print anymore. If you're looking to get one I would say eBay would be your best shot. I enjoy digging out my old White Dwarfs and reading those articles from time to time, although I don't have all of them.

Playing Space Marine demo while GF was scrapbooking:
Me: I can turn it down, if the screams of dying orks are annoying you.
Her: That's ok, I love hearing the screams of dying orks.

My armies (W-D-L):
2,000 (about 1,200 painted and now I'm feeling the call of Russ) 3-4-3
2,000 (about 1,000 painted, WiP) 0-1

Someone was asking about them before, used copies are pricey, like $40 each. As I recall the articles weren't all that good, I would not pay more that $10 to $20 especially since the rules are no longer valid.

I really liked the background of the primarchs and it covered the traitor primarchs too. (at least I remember them MORE 'cause they were really well written.) I'm only looking for fluff anyways, don't care about the rules.
