Great job. I use fortress grey from the gw article on painting black templars and it covers the black very nicely too. The light shade makes it easy to cover with white in the nex step as well.

Oh my gosh... no wonder your models look so good. I can't imagine spending this much time on one trooper (and we're only in part 1!).

Fun to watch, though... it's going to look excellent!

I didn't notice this in any of your other tutorials, how do you make a glowing effect?

@LBursley Another great tutorial there Les, big Thank you for all the videos they really are a God send to aspiring painters like myself. One technique I was specifically looking for though was painting dirt on White scar troops and vehicles. I've tried a few of the washes and the're ok but IMO my attempts just look like White Scars with spilt wash on their legs. I wondered if you knew of any good techniques for a pure white army.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
P.s I've seen your weathering powders are they a good technique for a painter like myself who has perhaps only a moderate skill at the moment.

No trees were hurt in the making of this sig, however many electrons were disturbed.

The White Scars Video tutorial here on this forum shows how I weathered mine using Tamiya Weathering Compacts. Pigments with sponge applicators would work well also.
