Quick straw poll as I am considering buying it for my dad. He has a lot of 1/72 scale vehicles already.

There are 1/72 scale hard plastic infantry available plus lots of soft plastic plus lots of vehicle kits.

However, perhaps most people play with the "official" 15mm figures.

I think that most people who play FOW play in 15 mm but there are a lot of people who play other WWII games in 1/72. Especially people who enjoy the the modelling aspect of things.

Agreed. FOW is seen as a 15mm game. There are lots of other systems out there for the larger scales, Rapid Fire etc.

I have to say in realation to the poll, most people in the UK see 20mm and 1/72 as the same scale as the difference is so close as to make no difference. Lots of people use 20mm figures mixed with 1/72nd plastic kits.

The Lieutenant is a Punk! And a pretty 2nd rate Punk at that.......

I use 20mm figures and 1/72 kits for my Vietnam stuff.

I just wonder if there are many people playing FoW with 1/72 scale stuff especially as there are nice hard plastic soldiers on the market now.
