Last year I remember the guy at GW in charge of `Ard Boyz posting on the Dakka forums. Don't think I've seen any of that this year round and I'm wondering if anyone know who the guy in charge is or what his email address might be.

yup I'd like it too, according to the store I played at, they didn't allow outflanking at all for anyone since it wasn't listed on the sheets specifically

Which is silly since outflank is a by product of the reserve rule and infiltrate is a by product of deployment as detailed in the 5TH EDITION rulebook.. Every standard mission has "deep strike" and "reserves"
Missions that must spell out every special rule is a throw back to 4th edition and really isn't very valid in 5th. Stuff like infiltrating used to be special rules, now theyre simply part of deployment
Oh well, Ive seen TOs who havent played since third edition and get confused by marines who have bolt pistols and grenades

I'd tell you, but I've been informed that the people I talk to don't count since their yanks.) Funny how most have British accents, but whatever.)
Gogo did come on a bit and talk last year. He was in promotions, and isn't with GW this year. Different people running it now, especially with the shake up of the move to Memphis.

GE is so crappy. They are always firing their people. How do they think they can pay people next to nothing, treat them like slaves and then expect to find something better when they fire them?
Even the janitor will be a new guy next month.

General Electric (GE) may have a bad company-employee relations, but this thread is about the 'ard boys 40k tournament

taking up the mission
Polonius wrote:Well, seeing as I literally will die if I ever lose a game of 40k, I find your approach almost heretical. If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

Lol about the above comment.
Trade Sales runs 'Ard Boyz. I don't feel comfortable giving out GW employee names here. But if you know the guy in charge of trade that's who approves it. But I doubt he wrote the scenarios, most likely its the guy for new accounts and a bald gentleman who is a competitve player.
All of the trade guys are great and used to host a great game of Whirlyball each year at Games Day.
They just forget how obsessed tourney players get about rules and figure more people will play for fun than not. That is the only mistake they made. They will probably be going back to missions from the BRB for round one next year.

I'm interested in knowing because I want to petition for my FLGS of choice getting a shot at hosting the Semis. We keep having to drive hours out of state to stores with game rooms half the size of ours.

Speaking of that, does anyone have any idea who's going to host the semis? I can't find a list on GW's page, and the three guys that placed are hounding me to find out where they have to go to play
I know we can't do it (I barely got 9 tables in the store!)

I had to comment on this one.
What other public company in the world can boast that their employee names are secrets?

The MPAA. The DVDCCA. Many privately-held companies. Well, of those, only the MPAA has "boasted" about it, to my knowledge.

I just don't like giving the names of those I like out on the interwebz!
But remember that for all intents and purposes the company is still a small business. Much more common there.

I know there will be one store in WV running one this year. Unlike last year... were 3 of our players had to drive 4 hours to get their heads kicked in. Now we can do it in out own back yard.

What you're not saying is that both of those companies have publicly known names that their employees go by, but they're all names similar to "Dr. Doom", "Professor Evil" and possibly "Satan".
