Im new to the Tuscaloosa area and looking for a game of 40k. Ive been to crimson tower and wasnt too impressed with what i saw so Instead, i hoping that others will tell me some close by stores that are better suited to the 40k scence. I know about legion but the drive kinda puts me off of wanting to go that far. Any other suggestions ?

Legion is about the only place, i know of. And it sucks cause i'm about to move up north of tuscaloosa, and am desperate to find something closer than Birmingham.

Bud's would be further than Legion. According to the Gameworkshop's store finder, there's a place called Knights of the Castle in Tuscaloosa. Also a place called Gameheadz in birmingham.

ive been to crimson castle and it sucked. Im looking for people that would want to play in Tuscaloosa or nearby. Maybe start a group or something. I know for a fact that crimson castle doesnt have a 40k community so im kinda boned there. If anyone would want to play, throw me a message.

This is a blatant and shameless necropost, but I figured I ought to chime in. I'm a Tuscaloosa resident with a small-but-growing SM army, and I've been looking for other players somewhere in town or within an hour of here. Crimson Castle has had a few more than in the past since Legion closed, but it's still fairly hard to get a regular match together.

I my self am about to be moving out towards the tuscaloosa area and I have just recently got into Warhammer 40k. I have a CSM army but have only got to play it once. So in a few months when I move out that way I will be looking for some games so yall hit me up on here.

But I do want to put a plug in for Bud's place. The people at that place are great. I play MTG there fairly often and it is very spacious compared to most gaming places. And I was looking forward to playing 40K threre cause he has a bunch of tables set up for it and it doesn't interfere with the card players. And the people that play there shower regularly which we all know is something to be cherished in the game world we find ourselves in. But that is one of the things I look for in a gaming place. Cause when playing these games we are in smelling distance of you so shower. But that gets me on another tangent.

But yeah if you are near there I highly recommend playing there great set of people and nice clean store and right next to a bar if you are of age and want a drink between matches. And if you are in Tuscaloosa and know a place to play hit me up on here

Are you talking about Legion behind the Summit off hwy 280? If so it's not closed. I have played there a few times, but I visit the store about once a week. I don't play there much because some of the people there aren't very welcoming of new people outside their normal group.

Does anyone go to UA that might wanna get a game in every once in a while? I play Orks but will probably be changing to a different 40k army and a new fantasy army very soon so I'm flexible.

If you are looking for games around t-town or huntsville check out this forum. It will probably be easier to find a game on it for that area. There is even a warhammer club on there called crimson knights

Reviving this dead thread...I know there's a GW in Birmingham but wondering if there are any players in Ttown. Crimson Castle, as posts above state, is still not very good.

we got a group down in montgomery. The Tuscaloosa group mostly died off as far as I know.
