I am about to start playing a Necromunda game with my Girlfriend to try and get her into war gaming, she seemed to like the system and less models means she wont moan about the price (Hopefully). I am going to be playing a Delaque gang and she will be playing as Escher. Just posting the gang roster and any advice would be welcome.

Gang Leader - Chainsword, Boltgun and Shotgun with Manstopper rounds
Heavy - Heavy Stubber and Laspistol
Heavy - Heavy Stubber and Laspistol
Ganger - Lasgun
Ganger - Lasgun
Ganger - Autogun
Ganger - Autogun
Ganger - Shotgun with Manstopper rounds
Juve - Autopistol

Works out at 1000 point exactly.

My Girlfriend has now made her gang as well.

Gang Leader - Chainsword and Lasgun
Heavy - Heavy Stubber and Autogun

Ganger - Sword, Shotgun and Autopistol
Ganger - Sword, Shotgun and Autopistol
Ganger - Sword, Shotgun and Autopistol
Ganger - Sword, Shotgun and Autopistol
Juve - Sword and Autopistol

Which is also 1000 points exactly.

Sounds fun!

I do like to see partners taking part in gaming/nerdy activities together. It warms my heart.

We play pen and paper roleplay games together alot, mostly Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and A Song of Ice and Fire so she is pretty nerdy as it is, just increasing her nerd Kudos some more.

I'd probably spend credits elsewhere than 2 Heavy Stubbers. More Juve's and/or special weapons for 2nd Heavy.

Ooh thats a good point. I find it works to have at least 3 Juves. I had four at one point. They're good as the fit the nieche between meat shield and replacement ganger nicely. If one of your gangers is killed you'll have someone to replace him soon enough.

Juves are important!

Definitely lose one heavy or a ganger or two and use that cash for juves. Remember, they're cheap (and thus expendable) and in the short time it takes for them to become a ganger, they'll have had a couple of skill/characteristic advances a straight-up ganger will not. And once they've graduated to ganger you don't have to stick to your house weapons list to equip them.

Seriously, dude the best gangs know how to exploit the young 'uns

It's also my preference to keep some of that 1000 credits spare for later. You don't want your lads to starve.

Due to a general lack of gamers in my immediate area, my wife is my primary adversary in my gaming adventures. Our older boy is now in 2nd grade and coming along well with his reading. It will be time to get him into gaming soon too.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too

I would encourage your friend to drop the Shotguns on the Sword/Autopistol Gangers. Having two CC weapons would give them an extra attack die, if they were not also carrying a basic weapon. Perhaps leave one or two Shotguns to provide cover fire, leaving their Sword or Autopistol, and dropping the other weapon. With the left over creds, get a couple Juves.

In your gang, the Shotgun with Manstoppers plus Boltgun seems a bit redundant, as they as basically the same weapon (little bit more range on the Boltgun, along with a horrible ammo roll).
