Thanks I'm just starting to experiment with weathering powders, they're so easy to use and the results are great. it's just a little messy when you're working with them.

Good looking tank. I agree about the weathering, you did a fantastic job. Reminds me of Soviet Russia

In Soviet Russia, powders weather YOU!

Good stuff, though, Necros. Out of curiosity, (I keep meaning to ask someone with a Manticore this), how would a Manticore chassis with an Aegis defense gun in the back instead of the missile launcher look? I haven't seen many Manticore pics from the rear, so it's been hard to tell how high the guns would sit and how it would look.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I can take a pic tonight of the inside of the back part. there's some ridges and cables and things like that but otherwise it should work good for a hydra conversion, you'll just need some extra plastic bitz to get it to sit right, but I'm sure some sprue pieces would be all you need.

Yeah, that's really nicely done. Not too often I see well-done vehicles.

Looking good, especially the weathering on the tracks; I recently discovered the joys of weathering powders as well, and I love them.

ok, here's a shot of the inside of the back under the missiles You should be able to just leave off the whole missile section to make a hydra. Bet you'd have no problem selling the missile bitz too

But then what would I use for a Manticore? Seriously, though, I'm thinking of getting 4 Manticores and making the missile bitz hot swappable with the Aegis guns. That way I could run 3 Manticores, 2 Manticores and 2 Hydras, or 4 Hydras (2x2).

Sweet! I like the weathering the best! The earthen red bottom additions look great!

Those things look just like an SA11

EDIT I just think that's funny because the missiles are so similar, while a Manticore is an artillery piece, an SA-11 is a SAM.
